New Piece

  Medium length

raw edge (long sides)

canvas

table runner.

Hopefully

i will feel well enough to start listing

in the new shop this coming week.

i've been dealing with a lot of 'knotty' back pain lately.

Friday

New Shop Items

I
ran out of thread
so
it's not finished yet.

100% cotton canvas fabric
similar to "painters cloth"
but a  tad softer.
:)

flowers were made out
of
white cotton duck cloth.
it's small in size.
more like a short runner
only wider.

i've placed a flower
each corner.
long sides
have raw edges.
listing will have the option
of
1. table cloth/cover/runner
2. cut and sewn into window valances.

I made one for my bedside table
(no flowers as of yet)

I am going to test a small piece
of the scrap fabric with
coffee dye.
if i like the way it takes
i will dye mine.

i
almost forgot..

i
also made this white muslin
table runner.
the embellishments are all cotton
with a mix of patterns.

still working on getting
cottonthemoment
ready to open.

Thursday

Another Shop

here is a sneak peek
of a few things that will be added.

the flowers snap on
so
they can be taken off when the cover
needs to be washed.

the snap idea
may
become a staple
in my shop.

below is a flaxseed & spearmint eye pillow
with a washable removable cover.
i'll also be doing lavender, orange peel,
and maybe others.
it depends on what's available
in the organic bulk section
when i visit the store.

Times have been getting tough lately
and the price of silver
keeps going up!
so
i figured it was a good time to start sewing again.
it's been years.

jamie has taken over the job of being
my massage therapist.
i found a youtube vid
that showed how to do myofascial massage.
he took to it right away.
so that's been a huge blessing.

Letting Go Takes Love

To let go does not mean to stop caring,
it means I can't do it for someone else.

To let go is not to cut myself off,
it's the realization I can't control another.

To let go is not to enable,
but allow learning from natural consequences.

To let go is to admit powerlessness, which means
the outcome is not in my hands.

To let go is not to try to change or blame another,
it's to make the most of myself.

To let go is not to care for,
but to care about.

To let go is not to fix,
but to be supportive.

To let go is not to judge,
but to allow another to be a human being.

To let go is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomes,
but to allow others to affect their destinies.

To let go is not to be protective,
it's to permit another to face reality.

To let go is not to deny,
but to accept.

To let go is not to nag, scold or argue,
but instead to search out my own shortcomings and correct them.

To let go is not to adjust everything to my desires,
but to take each day as it comes and cherish myself in it.

To let go is not to criticize or regulate anybody,
but to try to become what I dream I can be.

To let go is not to regret the past,
but to grow and live for the future.

To let go is to fear less and love more
Remember: The time to love is short.
